S3 | E4 - Excellent Present Moments

Excellent Present Moments

Shannon Thompson joins to discuss all things mental performance, racing, and working through the “tough moments”.

This week, coach is on vacation so while the blog is short and there is no download - we uploaded a full 35 minute discussion for your listening pleasure on the #1 topic I see people ask for information about.

If there was one regret with this episode, it’s that I didn’t ask Shannon about visualization and mapping out you performance. Shannon share some huge gold nuggets in this episode.

- Experiencing weather, and how tough races, tough moments, and tough season will pass.

- Being in touch with the heart of the race - an excellent metaphor for being present and in the moment

-Giving yourself a job/ focus in races and breaking them into pieces

-How to look at effort and execution instead of time. When we look at time and time alone, we believe that there is something to lose which only further raises the stakes!

We’ll see you next week where we will have our final guest of this season of episodes!

Enjoy this one, I did!
